Every year I put out my Winter Village collection for the Festive Season (now 10 sets) and every year I wish Lego would bring out white baseplates. But no, it's always been green up to now. At last my winter village will look like its buried in snow. Is it too much to hope that Lego will also bring back the original green baseplates instead of the light colouring they currently provide, which does not look like grass?

If you have a lot of small Lego kits or want to have a platform for young children to practice their building skills with, having a baseplate helps a lot in keeping everything together. It also helps moving the Lego designs more easily by keeping everything in place. Is it worth $8? For me, personally, no. For keeping small creations of your children neatly in place, a resounding YES for helping keep clutter to a minimum.
