I haven't tried the NinjaGo game yet, but of the other Wave 4 games, this is easily the best for parts, albeit highly specialised ones. Gameplay's also rather specialized but works well. It's particularly easy for adults to "accidently" lose at, too.
If your kids are into Legos, then yes, you should buy this game. If you are buying it as a fun game, it's average at best. It's a good concept, but just didn't seem to be that fun. There are better balancing games out there, and the "fun-ness" if being Legos quickly wears off. I have a 6 year old and a 4 year old that I tried playing it with, and neither of them were super into it. Maybe the gameplay is too intricate for them. My kids are really into Legos so that gave it the bump up from 1 to 2 stars.
