Listen, I was really excited to find this toy. I was purchasing a birthday present for a girl who is going through a princess phase and who is in a family of scientists. I thought the pink legos with the female scientist was just the blend for her perfect give. I was a bit alarmed at the price, but then I thought, "At 30 bucks, this is probably a fairly big set, like the large building sets for other figures." Seriously, when it arrived, I had not idea what it was. It was so small. The box is about the size of a paperback novel. I'm sure the gift will go over well, but this is a $15 purchase, not a 30$ one.
I wouldn't recommend this set to the average BZPower member. This set is too girly for them. But I think this set does an excellent job at appealing to younger girls and introducing them to Lego's style of building. And since this set is exploring engineering and science, I think that is an even better reason to get it over some of the other Friends sets that may focus on more traditional girl activities. See, girls, Olivia's building robots and its cool and fun. And she's going to use them to take over the world! (By force, if necessary.)
