Overall then, you can't really go wrong for £2.99 / $4.99, particularly as it contains some comparatively rare parts (the pitchfork and dark red leaves) as well as the unique hedgehog. Youngsters who have been collecting the first series will adore this set.
This set has everything you need to look after your play pet hedgehog. Lego always means quality and detail. The hedgehog's hair bow is just too perfect. There is lots of fun in the whole line of pets for the LEGO Friends line. The hedgehog is a fine addition. I am sure that children will have a great time assembling their own petting zoo with these little kits. The parts are small, so little children may need a bit of help with them, but they will catch on quickly. My adult son credits his ability to assemble dyi furniture, etc. to the years he happily spent assembling LEGOS
The parts are excellent, some of which are exclusive to Friends, like the dark read leaf and the tan pieces. MOCers will love these additions. But for my daughter, it was clear the best part of this mini set was the inclusion of a new Hedgehog pet (name unknown). The eyes have a new print and the body color is distinctly different from Oscar. Looks like Oscar has a new lady friend to share an apple with in the hideaway.
On their own these sets offer little in terms of playability. But if you add a mini figure of mini doll, the possibilities are endless! Overall, I still quite like the idea behind these sets, and hope to see more of these in the future.
