We really love LEGOs in this family. My daughter can spend hours playing with them. I really like them because she can be creative. Once she is done putting together the item she will often make her own creations.I love the quality of the LEGOs. I don't think we have ever had one break and we have many, many sets. I also like that she has something to play with once she makes it. Of course she has to be careful with it, but if she is, she can play with it.These make great gifts. I think my kid loves it the best of all. It is good for both boys and girls. It is also nice when the set goes with something like this one does.This was a good set. She was able to put it together on her own. It really kept her occupied for quite a while. I think it is also educational. It is good that she can follow the directions and also for hand-eye coordination.I would highly recommend this set.
This is a very small set, and one clearly targeted at a particular audience. That said, I think the final build is actually more enticing than it looks on the box, and it provides a significant play experience for so few pieces. Small animals, although common to Friends sets, are always appreciated, and I think my daughter could actually happily spend a lot of time playing with this build alone.
There are plenty of other play options for young imaginations. When I turned the slide section around to add the brush -- I immediately realized the area below would be fun for hide-and-go-seek. So, for the target audience of younger Friends fans -- it will be fun. For AFOLs, as a parts pack you get 2 of the newly re-colored wall elements in dark purple; plus new pink roof tiles. For pet collectors, these new puppies should be attractive. Teal eyed puppy with a heart -- who can resist?
