We really love LEGOs in this family. My daughter can spend hours playing with them. I really like them because she can be creative. Once she is done putting together the item she will often make her own creations.I love the quality of the LEGOs. I don't think we have ever had one break and we have many, many sets. I also like that she has something to play with once she makes it. Of course she has to be careful with it, but if she is, she can play with it.These make great gifts. I think my kid loves it the best of all. It is good for both boys and girls. It is also nice when the set goes with something like this one does. This was a good set. She was able to put it together on her own. It really kept her occupied for quite a while. I think it is also educational. It is good that she can follow the directions and also for hand-eye coordination.I would highly recommend this set.
This set sparks imagination, provides endless build-and-play fun, and kids can get creative! What's great is that everything fits back in the cubes for easy-on-the-go fun!
I got this set for my daughter thinking she would like it but she just built it took the figure and went and played with her other sets which are much bigger and better. This set took her seven minutes to build and it is just a couple of big pieces stuck together with some stuff in the inside. Once she had had this set for two days she broke it up and added it to her small city
I'm not sure what the average 6+ child gets for pocket money these days but they are marketed as "the perfect impulse reward, birthday gift or holiday gift for kids aged 6+" and they seem to hit the mark in this respect. They will undoubtedly have both play and collecting value given their low price point and inclusion of both mini-dolls and play scenes.
The X-Pods were a great concept but they didn't close securely, and the circular pods don't provide much room inside. Both of these issue are solved with these and I think they will be very popular. With luck we'll see some aimed primarily at boys in more useful colours in the future. As for this specific set itself, it's bright, colourful and aspiring vets will love it.
Collecting these will be fun for serious Friends fans. Once you open that surprise box, it's fun to think of the other colors too. These may be more popular than the pods, for their stack-ability. Pulling up bricks and parts while the pink brackets are connected to the inside of the cube is easy because it only removes horizontally. Getting the wee bunny onto the exam table under that light fixture was a bit tight for my AFOL fingers. Either pull out that section or get a kid to help!
