Recommendation: meh 4.6 / 5 from 32 reviews

This set is right in that fun/play sweet spot for LEGOs. The price is right (we got it for fifteenbucks at a major retailer rhyming with bar-jet) for Christmas or birthdays, but there is a ton of play value. Easy to build, fun to play with. The price is right. Just one minifig, but a rotating hose and lots of cubbies/compartments in the fire trucks. Tools. Kids love LEGO tools. This set is just about perfect for the price.

Recommendation: meh 8.5 / 10 by Brickviller

All in all, a very good set. Especially for the price, which is about 5 Euros lower than the firetruck from 2005. Comparing those two is ofcourse innevitable, but I won't do that, since it belongs in a different subtheme. The build is also nice, but if you've build City vehicles for the last two years, it's not much different than any other City truck. Playability is ofcourse also high, you can drive to the tree, extinguish the fire and drive to the next fire.
