My 4 year old loves this set. He can play for hours making the family different meals. He also likes to watch me in the kitchen and mimic what I'm cooking with his Lego food. There are so many ways to make the set educational plus It's so much fun for both him and me. I do wish it came with a few more items like the cupcake cups, milk and more fruit and vegetables. I purchased the regular Lego Duplo picnic building set #10566 and cake set #10850 to add those things to his collection. This set is not cheap but was worth it for us because it is his #1 toy. I hope Lego comes out with more food sets. They are a hit with our family!

This is a cute LEGO set that engages young kids in creative play while also helping them practice counting and addition, and developing social and emotional skills through playing and interacting with others. Teacher and parent participation will yield the most educational play value from this set. Outside of the teacher- or parent-guided play, kids can also just create their own menu items and prices, and engage in classic, imaginative building play with this set.
