My favourite feature hands down is The Winter Soldier's metallic ‘bionic arm' which has the Red Star on it. It looks great and it gives the minifigure a very distinct and unique look that respects the source material incredibly well.
Overall, the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Winter Soldier (5002943) is very cool minifigure if you have a chance to pick it up. Right now, the June promo is the only way to get him besides the secondary market or trading and whatnot. He probably won't be showing up in another LEGO set for a long time. The next time we may see him again would be for Captain America: Civil War sets, if there are any sets produced for the movie next year but don't hold your breath.
I brought this as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend because he's a big Winter Soldier fan. He loves it. The shipping was fast & the packaging was great.
For fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe this is a must-have minifigure. The popularity of Captain America: The Winter Soldier last year and the fact that we are likely to see the character again will only add to its desirability. The minifigure itself is excellent, capturing just the right amount of detail in my opinion and accurately recreating his appearance in the film.
One of my big questions about this polybag is why now? There weren't any LEGO sets for the movie last year, why not throw this one out last year and have one more tangentially related to Age of Ultron now (I would really like an MCU-Falcon minifig, thankyouverymuch)? But then, we are getting a Winter Soldier 'fig, which is really cool. And the polybag is sorta free too, if you're spending $75+ on LEGO in the first place. So at the end of the day it's really quite hard to argue with. If you're planning on making a big LEGO purchase and you dig the MCU, go for it and get the fig.
