Every year we have an Advent calendar for our son and until this year it has been more or less the standard "candy" calendar with a small piece of chocolate behind each day. Then last year right before Christmas I saw the Lego Advent calendar on the reception desk at the doctors office. Having a soon to be 11 year old who loves Lego's and having his Advent calendar I thought it would be the perfect mix. Each day seems to have about a 10 piece model to put together and when done with the calendar the pieces can be used with his Lego City or however else he chooses. I also like the idea that rather then a piece of candy they are getting something that while a toy, also exercises the mind while playing. I know our son is going to love this when he finally sees the calendar!
