I ordered this set on September 23rd of 2016, along with some other LEGO sets. What can I say? It's terrific! It has the feel of NASA, don't you think? I really like the color scheme, the overall look, pretty much everything. Not only was my first training jet included in this set, but also, my first semi truck and trailer in years. Unfortunately, now it's retired. I hope you all got this set, people! It's a recommender's set for sure! (Review by cheesy. 4/8/2017)
A favorite toy of my daughter for Christmas she had no problem putting it together though some pieces were more challenging than others though I am only giving it three stars because there were some missing pieces which marred the experience for my daughter, quality control needs to ensure that all the pieces are in the box before sending them out, my daughter almost gave up when she found out those pieces were missing but once completed she enjoyed playing with them as much as building
Overall, the LEGO City Space Training Jet Transporter (60079) is a pretty nice set that includes many different builds. My favorite part of the set is surprisingly not the Training Jet as the set features but instead it's the semi-truck. I really love the overall look of the truck even with the little fault I mentioned earlier. The Training Jet itself isn't too shabby either but doesn't do enough to stand out, in my opinion.
This set is intended for kids ages, 5–12. As with other LEGO City sets, we think kids around 5–7 will love playing with it, but might need some help with the build. Older kids and even adult LEGO fans will also enjoy this one for displays.
