This family house playset is home to lots of fun features and details that really inspires endless hours of imaginative play for my little one. It is easy to assemble and disassemble. It is also very educational and fun. All of the lego bricks and pieces are durable and fun to build with.
This is a nicely detailed and complete set. I feel that the detail is adequate for a city set, but it could be improved. The car is the let down, but it is compensated by the figures and accessories.
It's certainly a nice-looking set, it's just way too compact. It could have been twice the size to really offer up a decent take on a family home. As it stands, the inside of the house has some neat features, the overall scale just restricts them. I really like the outside of the house, it feels very modern and almost like the flash futuristic houses featured in sci-fi shows and movies. The same could also be attributed to the EV vehicle. I think the main focus of the set was to create something to showcase the new road system and to a limited extent, this set does that, but there are others in the sub-theme which certainly do a better job.
I kind of like the road plates, but the house feels incomplete and I'd rather have had a more fleshed out house than the road plates. I suspect that someone will be able to make a really impressive MOC from this set (or maybe 2 of them). I wouldn't reccommend this set, at $60 it's the second most expensive Road Plate set announced but it doesn't really offer many Road Plate parts. If you're looking for the road plate parts there's much better and cheaper options.
I feel that the price tag is perhaps a bit high for the piece count, especially when compared to other sets at the same price point, but this is often the case for sets aimed at a younger audience which tend to have fewer small parts included.
I love the subject matter of the set, I'm pleased with the Eco slant, it's an engaging family unit with manifold options for inferred narratives in role-playing, but for £45, I find myself wanting better value for money where building pieces are concerned. I just don't think I can recommend the set at this price, wait for a decent saving of £10 though and it's a whole different hockey match!
