My 6 yr old son put this together pretty quickly and then gave it to the 5 yr old who loves playing with it. Older brother doesn't have a ton of experience building legos but he followed the directions and it was no problem (5yr is just lazy and knows 6 yr will build it for him). That was 3 months ago at Christmas and he uses it all the time and won't take it apart. He loves that it's a "legend" Chima. We don't have much time for legos during the week but every weekend this one gets played with.
The LEGO Legends of Chima: Eagle Legend Beast from LEGO is a 111-piece set that builds the Eagle Legend Beast and Eris minifigure. The eagle has articulated wings, limbs, and head, which features nice decal detail. Eris comes with a CHIGlaxxor axe and translucent CHI shield.
All in all, I really like the look of the Eagle and Eris. I find the whole build impressive to make a complete eagle with some cool features, including articulation and a place for a rider. Eris is a nice minifigure with some cool accessories in this set. This set fits right in with the other Legend Beasts. I can recommend this for any Chima fan or someone looking to buy a few new small sets that wants something cool.
Once again, I am impressed with this Legend Beast and can draw the same conclusion as I did for the gorilla (and probably will for the other three): there are a lot of new and useful parts; it looks suitably impressive once built, and it was a reasonable price, at £8.
