This was a Christmas present for my almost 6 year old son. He loved the toy, and it did not take him long to build it. Although it had to be done under my supervision, because, due to the excitement and insufficient sleep the night before, he was having hard time concentrating on the instructions. ;-) My son discovered that Chi Eris (eagle) can be combined with Chi Laval (Lion) that he already has to build a different character, so he liked this even more. There are a lot of ball joint connections, so it is easy to change character's poses. Not all posses are stable, but in basic standing/attacking poses the character is quite stable. This set contains fewer than 100 pieses, so it seems pricey at over ten dollars, but it is a pretty tall character. The price fluctuates and I was able to purchase it in time for Christmas for $10, but even the usual Amazon's price of $12 is lower than what Target and Walmart want for it.
As a set, Eris perfectly does what she set out to do, which is to be an energy enhanced Eagle warrior. She's a lot of fun to pose and swoosh with, but while she provides a good range of pieces for her price, I'd recommend purchasing a different Chi or Hero Factory figure before this one, since there are others with more exciting and useful pieces.
Let me be honest here, Eris is not the best transition of a mini figure into an Ultrabuild figure. Be it the differences to her normal form, the ambiguity about her gender in this form or the design of the wings, the poor girl got a few issues. But aside from this, she's a cool set to have. Pretty much all of her parts have great potential for MOCing, especially if you desire to build something different than a robotic warrior (or at least someting that doesn't have a robotic head).
