Aside from the stickers, I enjoyed putting this set together. The new protagonist armor is metallic colored and well designed. I also like the new ninja uniforms, but miss that Jay doesn't have his signature silver armor right arm. It seems the TV series is well behind toy production, so I have no idea what is going on, but I'm having fun thinking about what might be happening. Set 70624 Vermillion Invader seems to have a larger iteration of the single tread tank vehicle in this set, and I'm curious if it starts small and grows.
My 7 year old thinks this motorcycle is awesome, and it is. The baddie uni-track tank/motorcycle thing is also cool and fun to drive around.I just noticed the Amazon listing says Nexo Knights, but this is Ninjago and looks just like the pictures. I'm not sure if this changed since I bought it, or if I only looked at the picture of the box.
This is going to be a fun way for fans of the LEGO Ninjago TV series to play out the "Hands of Time" storyline, which is all about controlling time. With this set, fans can control the action and get creative recreating scenes from the show or making up their own adventures for Jay.
I am incredibly let down by this set. The play features are lacking, the vehicles don't look great, and the figures are average (as they appear in other sets). The price is alright I guess, but there are other sets at this price point which are definitely better.
