This set honestly blew my expectations out of the water. I had primarily bought the set for the Minifigures, since I already own the original set. However, this rendition of the Ultra Dragon is far better than the original in my opinion. I wasn't sure how to feel about the brick built heads when I first saw leaks of this set, however, in hand they are really cool. The only major problem I have with the set is its lack of leg articulation. The front legs on the original have poseability, while all the legs on the remake a static (ignoring the feet and toes). The Minifigure selection is pretty excellent, despite the fact that these Minifigures are not exclusive. You get remakes of Lord Garmadon,Pythor,Lasha,Spitta, and Black Kimono Sensei Wu, along with Lloyd's season 10 Suit. Overall I would highly recommend this set, even though it comes with less than the original. The dragon looks even better, even if the heads are less show accurate, and the Minifigures are great.

This dragon is amazing! It is an major improvement on the Epic Dragon Battle set. The vinyl wings look beautiful in person and with the wings folded out the set looks magnificent. The brick built heads look fantastic and unique. The saddle is much better than the original and looks very regal. The dragon doesn't have leg articulation, but this excusable because the legs need to be in a certain place for the function to work properly. This version also has a better body and is more built up. The dragon has a whipping tail. This works well as both a play set for kids and a display set for older collecters.
