Although I am not a full pledged Simpsons fan, but through the release of these minifigures, I have learnt to appreciate them very much which make me felt pretty positive towards this entire new approach. On a very positive note, I totally enjoy the different forms of integration throughout my different LEGO Themes in my collection.

Recommendation: no 4 / 5 by Allen "Tormentalous" Tran

Overall, the LEGO Minifigures – The Simpsons Series (71005) was better than I expected. LEGO did a great job in getting the various details of the characters in the minifigure designs. It was good to see that these minifigures aren't the same as the ones in the Simpsons House. LEGO stayed true to the cartoon series and the minifigures were well represented.

The first thing you'll note about the minifigure is that he looks uncharacteristically skinny. It's a little too much to expect LEGO to deviate from their iconic minifigure mould, but this is one of those times that I wish LEGO would create either an altered torsomould or a bib-like accessory to create minifigures with large bellies. It just looks a little wrong to me.
