For girls, it's great to have a representation of a smart girl. Go STEM!For boys, it's great to see girls presented as something other than princesses.Get this for the Lego fan in your life.

The LEGO CMFs Series 19 is a nice traditional CMFs design and it is nice to see a change of pace. Seeing this brand new 16 designs of Series 19, there are 11 City related minifigures including costume fellows, 4 historical/fantasy/mythical minifigures and 1 sci-fiction minifigure. As you can see, this new Series 19 is a city-focused theme. While I am slightly disappointed that minifigures had largely restricted on City landscape, but the new additional designs and new molds are welcoming additions to our ever-growing LEGO collection.

Despite the overall positive message of the Programmer, being objective, she isn't the most interesting character of this series, but small little details like the LEGO Binary code on her t-shirt, and the cute little robot dog manage to salvage Programmer slightly.

Overall the Series 19 LEGO Collectible Minifigures (71025) is another wave that proves why this theme is a successful one year in and year out.

It's good to get another regular, non-themed series of Collectible Minifigures again, spreading across all walks of life. Not every figure in Series 19 is a sure-fire winner in my book (if I weren't reviewing it, I'd never go out of my way to pick up the Firefighter, Bear Costume Guy, or Rugby Player, for instance), but the majority of the characters are figures I want in my collection, some of them multiple times over.

I found the overall tone for the series less coherent than for previous series. I feel every figure is pretty good, and some are downright excellent. The theme or category for the figures is consistent with previous themes. But the accessories are inconsistent.

Despite appearing relatively bland, the Programmer has the potential to prove popular in my opinion. Her black shirt features the word 'LEGO' written in binary which is brilliant and I like the dual-moulded short sleeves. Similar dual-moulding forms a red jacket tied around her waist, although that has been unusually concealed with dark bluish grey printing across the front. I think this technique looks slightly odd.

I really like all the new elements especially the animals like the flamingo and cameleon. Which is why these original IP series are good, they can be a little more creative without being tied to a license.
