We own Arctic Batman™ vs. Mr. Freeze™: Aquaman™ on Ice LEGO set and accidentally misplaced Aquaman. It is not a common minifigure, so I decided to replace it and if we found the original it would be nice to have two. I did find the original (thank goodness) and the next day my extra Aquaman arrived. The seller sent it in a little clear bag, disassembled, with his trident. The minifigure consists of the yellow hair, double sided face, orange torso and green pants. So my son had fun building his second minifigure, which was in excellent condition. And it was a good price, in my opinion.
For Aquaman fans, this version is a great addition to your collection, and a very nice homage to an iconic storyline from the 1990s Aquaman.
As for the minifigures we do get in this wave, they aren't bad looking at all. Some of them are highly detailed but some are pretty plain but accurate to the source materials.
If you're a DC fan, then you're definitely going to want to pick up this entire series, as it will be a quick and easy way to add some really cool comics history to your minifigure collection. I can only imagine that Marvel fans are already salivating at the thought of a similar series for them. Personally, I've still got dreams of a Star Wars series, as unlikely as that is. Nevertheless, although I'm not particularly a DC fan, I've found these minifigures to be exceptionally interesting and awesome.
The DC universe has a nice mix of characters, but they certainly aren't as varied as Marvel's. Although there are some nice characters here, I can't help but feel another DC series was a little unnecessary. Sure it has given us some nice new elements, but I doubt they will have much use beyond the characters here, apart from appearing in future DC sets.
This minifigure is accordingly distinctive, featuring the golden harpoon that replaced Arthur Curry's left hand during the 1990s. I am extremely satisfied with this element and the metallic silver armour protecting his right arm looks magnificent.
Ultimately, 71026 DC Super Heroes Collectible Minifigures is a series to be enjoyed, be that for its contents, the new trans-clear piece alone (it really is rather good) or for the simple fact that this sort of risk can be and is taken by the LEGO Group in 2019.
