The Lego Castle Kingdoms - King's Carriage Ambush (Lego Model #7188) is an excellent rendition of a King's Carriage. It is beautiful, to say the least. The horses have beautiful printing on their sides (rarely included on any other Lego horses). The Carriage is equally beautiful because of the elegant design and colors (wheels are gold). The minifigures are outstanding, especially the King (has a shiny crown & sword). The set is sturdy & well designed for play (roof of carriage can be easily removed for easy access to interior) and there are a couple of extra mini-forest scenes (2 trees with goodies - 1 with a large spider web and the other with a giant hammer/mallet for ambushing the carriage). It would be a nice addition to any Castle set.

Recommendation: no 42 / 60 by Rumble Strike

As a higher priced Kingdoms set, this had a lot to live up to when the smaller sets are so good, and it didn't quite deliver. Some major positives like the unique King and those horses are dragged down by poor value for money and some bizarre design choices. By no means a bad set though, so keep an eye out for any deals.

I'd rate this one rather high on castle fan's must have list because it's different from the usual sets. And good collection of pieces in hard to find colors. The only real negative point is the $40 USD for only 285 pieces, which comes out to about $0.14 per pieces. Which is about on par with most of the licensed sets but a bit pricey for non licensed set.
