As a kid I built a lot of Star Wars ships from scratch (before officially licensed sets started coming out), but the B-Wing was always super tough because of the rotating cockpit. Well, I'm now 30, and I still get Legos every birthday, and this year I got the official Lego B-Wing, and I feel like it has provided me with closure. It looks brilliant, is super creative, and it gives Lego life to my favorite Star Wars fighter. The only issue is it's hard to pose on a shelf, since it doesn't stand straight up. But really, that's such a first-world problem it shouldn't keep you from getting this set.

I feel that this set is a letdown. While the build is okay, the wings are too thin and the body is too thick. The minifigure selection is also poor. Playability is mediocre and the price is definitely too high. Sorry LEGO, but even though the 2014 Star Wars wave was good on the whole, this one isn't.
