Having purchased the 2008 version of the Homing Spider Droid, this set definitely looks better. Pros -eye rotates -nice assortment of mini-figures, including Yoda -mini-figures have blasters instead of the stud blasters -sturdy Cons -The Homing Spider Droids guns do not rotate around the vertical axis -The rapid stud shooter bothers me a little
This LEGO Star Wars set can be used for staging battles between the Republic heroes and Trade Federation droids. It's also going to be great for adding to a larger collection or display. We think the Elite Clone Trooper and iconic Yoda Minifigures will add to the collectibility of this set.
Overall, this is a disappointing set. It is a lazy rehash of a 2013 set, but with stud shooters to make it worse. The figures are unimpressive, with not a single new figure (at least 75016 had Stass Allie).
If you've been buying for awhile, you likely have one, and if you're buying for a kid… there are honestly better $30 sets out there.
