This is one of the many sets they've released since 2016 for £20 with loads of great figures. In this case Luke, Ben and C-3PO, the Tusken Raider is great too. The build is super similar to the last two variants, but that's fine, why change what's perfect. I think the only downside is the low piece count, maybe add a small build for Ben's hut with Luke's lightsaber in a chest or something for decoration, or alternatively include R2-D2. It's still great though and I would recommend it to adults, both collectors and as a one off gift to a Star Wars fan. As for kids I think although there's not a huge amount of play features in the set it's still great, especially for the figures, although I think it's missing 3 things to make it perfect, 1) R2 2) Luke's Lightsaber 3) Luke's Rifle that he tries to use against the Tusken Raider but it gets destroyed. Aside from my problems it's still great for figures, and a nice build. I do recommend it to adults and kids.
I'd say this set isn't bad but isn't too exciting either. The figure selection is good but the figures do have some flaws, the model looks nice but sorely lacks in playability.
75173 Luke's Landspeeder has no room for improvement, except for maybe having it actually hover off the ground. They are both rehashes, but the Landspeeder model has reached its evolutionary peak. So I guess to do this review proper, I'd have to take a little from Column A and a little from Column B. Get it if you've never picked up a Landspeeder set in your life. And even if that's the case, I'd still recommend getting last year's 75052 Mos Eisely Cantina set before this one. And based on that, I think the only logical conclusion is to give 75173 Luke's Landspeeder a 1 out 5 stars. It's not terrible, but really not worth picking up either.
I was disappointed to see another model of Luke's Landspeeder among the new Star Wars sets as I own several of the previous models and doubted that there was much room for improvement. However, this set has proved to be a very pleasant surprise! All of the changes which have been made are certainly for the better and the minifigure selection is impressive, particularly given the price of £19.99 or $24.99.
