When I saw this set, I knew I had to get it. It is one of my favorite scenes ever, and this is one of the few sets that I am ok with Lego making again and again. The minifigures are nice, as we finally get a proper Return of the Jedi version of Boba Fett! It is nice that Han and Chewie are included as we got different figures in the previous one from 2012. Hans new hairpiece looks amazing on him, and Chewie looks great too. The skiff guard isvery well done and is a great addition as we see that exact guy on the skiff in the movie. The skiff itself looks pretty good, however the color is inaccurate, as it should be dark brown instead of tan. The design looks a little bit weird to me but its still cool looking. The sarlacc on the other hand is much more accurate than the last one and is the proper color and shape! I don't quite get the little "hill" under the mouth, but I guess I'm nit-picking. All in all, its a great set.
I was very sceptical when I learned that a new desert skiff was being released in 2017. The previous version was marvellous and left little room for improvement in my opinion so this seemed like an update which was doomed to mediocrity. However, it has proved to be a delightful surprise. Not only are the minifigures excellent but the skiff offers several valuable improvements over its predecessor, with a far sturdier design and much more detail.
