Amazing set that gives homage to the original Jurassic Park movie... however, retail price is $39.99 directly from LEGO. Do your homework before purchasing this set.
I was skeptical about how fun this set could be. It looks really simple, but as a big fan of the original Jurassic Park, I went a head and got it. Very surprised with the amount of detail in this simple set. The window breaks out, the door locks, there is a Barbasol can, just like in the movie. Very impressed with this set.

I especially loved the Jurassic park Velociraptor Chase set. It 's so cool to re-create that classic scene from the movie that started it all. Can Lex find the code to open the cold embryo Storage room and bypass the firewall? Get Tim to hide inside the kitchen cabinet before the raptor finds them.
Velociraptor Chase is a character purchase. It features a great selection from Jurassic Park. Additionally, designers captured the control room scene well. The value of the set is average at full price. However, since the set retired, prices are likely to become unreasonable in the future. Sadly, the set tries to depict too many scenes. I wish it focused more detail on just one, two at the most.
I think this set is pretty cool – it's aesthetically very pleasing, and I like the three interconnected rooms. The four minifigures included are very nice too, as is the Velociraptor. Playability is quite good as the set is a playset with some fun play features and space to pose figures around.
With three iconic scenes from the movie distilled down to a single $40 playset, this set is a great one-shot intro to Jurassic Park. (And while we sincerely hope it's not the only set that will be based on the original movie, as yet all the other sets we know of are tie-ins to the new movie.) The set isn't heavy on action features, except insofar as you'll get a velociraptor to chase the protagonists around the excellent movie locations. Each of the three scenes is loaded with tiny details to discover, and the minifigures are the perfect choices. As a parts pack, however, the set falls short, with only 360 pieces for $40 and not too many unusual elements, so we don't recommend it just for bolstering your collection. However, we suspect that most people who buy this are in it for the set itself, not merely the parts, and it shines as a throwback to the 1993 film.
Jurassic Park is one of my favourite films, so to finally have a set based on it, is awesome. Cramming so much from the film in a single set is outstanding. The minifigures are great, the graphic design elements are great, the dinosaur is great. In fact it's one of my favourite sets this year and the perfect way to mark the 25th anniversary of the film. Sure I'd of loved to have seen more minifigures or two Raptors, would of have swapped out the DNA carousel for a shirt-less Ian Malcolm minifigure? Totally! But I still adore this set and I have all my fingers and toes crossed that it will lead to more Jurassic Park sets. Oh the possibilities.
In conclusion, we think this set is great. It has playability for the kids, and also has great novelty for adult collectors. LEGO Jurassic Park Velociraptor Chase (75392) is probably the best set out there to sum up the 1993 classic, blockbuster movie in one purchase. Add a jeep and a T-Rex and there you have it. Steven Spielberg would be proud.
75932 Jurassic Park Velociraptor Chase has immediately become one of my favourite dinosaur-based sets. Not only are the minifigures and the Velociraptor excellent but the Visitor Centre play set includes tremendous detail, making the best possible use of the space available by combining the three different areas. These are sensibly arranged for both play and display, although Technic pins allow you to swap them around if you wish.
Looking strictly at the structure, the set isn't exactly anything special. However, the details linking it to the movie really make it stand out, from the embryo shaving cream can to the computer monitors to the gelatin desert. Additionally, the minifigures accurately replicate the characters, and there's plenty of play to be had as they escape from the velociraptor. Plus it's not terribly expensive at $39.99 USD, although it's still not quite an impulse purchase either. Still, for our first legitimate Jurassic Park set based on the original movie, I think it succeeds.
