My grandson is a huge fan of Lego sets plus he loves dinosaurs so this Jurassic World Gallimimus and Pteranodon Breakout set is perfect for him. The set comes with 391 pieces, 3 characters & 2 dinosaurs. He has fun putting it all together & playing out scenes (we just rewatched the first 2 Jurassic Park movies). He says that the drones are really cool & a great way to chase down the dinosaurs. I love giving him toys that allow him to use his imagination & he really loves this set.

Recommendation: meh 9 / 10 by Nachos Grande

The price-per-part ratio hurts here but getting two dinosaurs (one unique and one in a new color) helps to alleviate that a bit. Three minifigs plus a vehicle that is solidly built (and quite large) rounds out a fairly solid package overall. If I'm being honest, I wouldn't have bought this set for myself (thinking who needs that car for the price) but now that I have the set, I do think it's probably worth close to its retail price!

As expected, the exclusive Gallimimus is undoubtedly the highlight of 75940 Gallimimus and Pteranodon Breakout. This dinosaur exemplifies the combination of existing and new parts to create an accurate representation of the original creature and its head shape looks absolutely perfect, in particular. The accompanying Pteranodon is excellent too, although they are rather common across the Jurassic World theme.
