Starblaster Showdown

legos? guardians of the galaxy? yes please! This set is super awesome and a quick build. I love the starlord and the nova corp ship. I got one set for my son and one set for me and we watched the movie while we put them together. I wish the other guardians of the galaxy sets were a little cheaper cause I want all the characters. you should probably scoop up some of these sets before the new movie comes out. more less

Overall a solid part of the GotG collection. And if you don't have budget for the Milano I think this and the Rocket polybag get you the best two characters at a good price with an iconic ship as well. more less

In the end, this set is far better in my eyes than either of the cheap Iron Man sets were. The Starblaster, especially, is a good little ship that can be swooshed around, you get some new minifig guns, and the Necrocraft is… there as well. more less

If you have the cash, I'd say you should go all the way and buy this set. It's got nice ships, minifigs, and it's a Guardians of the Galaxy set. It'll get you hooked on a feeling, I can guarantee that. more less

At its core, Starblaster Showdown feels like a bit of a letdown. Apart from the great Starblaster ship and Star-Lord minifigure, there's not a lot going on in the set. The Necrocraft is a bit of a joke and an excuse to cobble a bunch of parts together to up the piece count. While it may have been featured quite frequently in the movie, it just doesn't translate as well to LEGO compared to the Starblaster. The Nova Corps Officer is also quite a boring character – they could've at least given him more interesting accessories instead of handcuffs to sweeten the deal. The Sakaaran, while a competently designed minifigure also falls on the boring side of things simply because it's a nameless character. more less
