My son loves this set! It was easy for him to build since he is a little lego master lol. What can you say about Lego? I have never purchased a lego set I was disappointed in!
I think LEGO almost had a winner here. The builds themselves are quite alright, the minifigure selection is pretty darn good (with four members of the JL along with the big bad), and playability is not too bad. However, LEGO then went and killed it with the price.
Overall, 76087 Flying Fox: Batmobile Airlift Attack is a good set, but not a great one. It seems to be struggling under the weight of licensing fees to pack everything in under the allotted part count. The end result was more visually pleasing than I was expecting – I certainly liked the finished plane. Its ability to carry the Batmobile is a great play feature, but is unfortunately undercut by the lack of loading ramps. Without the Batmobile loaded, the set looks extremely empty from the front, more akin to a flying box than a Flying Fox. In light of all this, I would tentatively recommend this set. Excellent figures aside from Steppenwolf forgive a lot of its sins.
76087 Flying Fox: Batmobile Airlift Attack has really surprised me. Images of the Justice League sets were revealed in June and I was not initially impressed but the Flying Fox is quite attractive when viewed from the sides or above and offers tremendous play value. It undoubtedly fits with Batman's established aesthetic in the DC Extended Universe and the sturdy Technic frame allows you to fly the model around with ease, with or without the Batmobile occupying the cargo area.
