Recommendation: meh 4.5 / 5 from 80 reviews

To paraphrase another LEGO reviewer: LEGO.MAKES.THE.BEST.TOYS.EVER. This is an outstanding value for the money for a LEGO product. The fire truck details, number of pieces, scale, accessories, colors, design, quality -- all superlative (even for LEGO!). The truck and its trailer behave better than expected under "normal" 4-year old play. Mommy had at least as much fun as he did while he put it together; then, a couple of days later, taking it apart and rebuilding it was equally entertaining. Hours upon hours of fun building and playing and crashing and running in circles around the coffee table. Amazon was also great with shipping, too, as they always are!
