I didn't have to think about buying this, and I rushed out to get it as soon as it became available. With the Wampa, we have finally filled a hole in the Lego Empire Strikes Back story, and who can complain about another snowspeeder?

I recently rediscovered Legos and I have so much fun building with them. I also love Star Wars, so this is double fun for me. It's so neat how they figure out how to make these pieces the right size and shape so that they all fit together into a very convincing structure! This particular set was really neat because it comes with a scene AND a starship (an A-wing, to be precise). I love it when the Lego sets include multiple structures to build. I haven't yet taken it apart to rebuild; I'm just having fun displaying it and moving the little Star Wars Lego figures around.

Overall, the Hoth Wampa Cave is a fairly decent set. It does have two exclusive minifigs of Luke and the Wampa but the size of the cave itself is rather small. The snowspeeder is a nice addition.

I really wanted to like this set, but it was just so lacking. TLG needs to revise that Snowspeeder, and soon. I probably would not have gotten it were it not for a discount. [...] I think the value of this set hinges almost entirely around the Wampa. If you want it, this is a decent set to pick up. If not, then it's an easy pass.

A good set, maybe not a must have if you already have a Snowspeeder and if the Wampa is not interesting for you, else it's a good deal.
