Like Christmas cookies from grandma, Chris delivers a bounty of holiday cheer with these wonderful and irresistible models, all wrapped up like a present under the tree. All of them would look great on any tree, and you can bet you'll find several on my tree this year.
I would really love to be giving this five stars. the designs are beautiful and easy to put together. the problem is that the author give a part numbers in the directions rather than a description, which meant purchasing them on the web sites were difficult, as most of them wanted a description. Buying the parts was a NIGHTMARE!!!! I thought I could go to the local lego store and buy the pieces. The Manager informed me that most ot the components are "Specialty" items and he hasn't had some of the bricks in years. My choices were to go to brinklink, which is a series of vendors. There are dozens of vendors and not a single one has all the items I neded. There is the official lego website. When i treied to order from them, I would go to pay and my order was gone. Great book. Wish I could use it.
Overall, The LEGO Christmas Ornaments Book is a very nicely put together book by Chris and it will surely be a welcomed addition to your library especially with the holidays coming up in a couple of months. If you followed Chris before on other platforms, you can see how he implements his building style and techniques into each ornament. I would definitely recommend picking up the book as you will have fun building the models as well as inspiring you to create your own using the ones in the book as a starting reference point.
The great thing about these builds is that with a few exceptions they use standard parts that are easily obtained. They also include a couple of nice building techniques, but at the same time, these are simple though fun builds. The book is beautifully bound in a hard cover and looks like a perfect holiday present.
