This is one of the best Lego sets ever released - great detail and fun to put together. I bought three of these way back in 2011 here on Amazon (paid $179 at that time). My sons assembled one of the sets, I sold another recently on a well known auction site, and still have one more of them put away for a later date. This is a great set, I almost regret selling one of them, even though I got a nice price for it. If you can still find one of these for a decent price, by all means buy it!! These are and will continue to be collectors items. Thanks for reading.

I have always liked this model as it has a more authentic feel than other ships in the Pirates theme.

I'm not going to end this review by telling you to go out and buy this set right now, since I know that's unrealistic. Instead, I'm going to tell you that this is a very beautiful and detailed set that I feel is well worth the money, and if you're a LEGO Pirates fan looking for just the right ship then this may be the one.

This set is the bees knees' - if a Disney license ever does eventuate for a 'Pirates of the Caribbean' line, it will be a shadow of the former glory that is the Imperial Flagship. Honestly, I can't imagine LEGO ever going all-out on a ship any time again soon. This is one of those classics that will be remembered for years to come. And wouldn't a whole fleet look nice sitting on your mantelpiece?
