I bought it because of the details, the size, and the price. I would recommend it to friends. I like a some what of a challenge when building these sets.

I really enjoyed constructing this Lego set. My only knock would be that the bags aren't numbered. As such, one must spend a good deal of time sorting the 4000+ pieces prior to construction. I assumed the "expert" level designation was referring to building skill not sorting. Also I was shorted about six pieces that were meant for the suspension cables. Luckily, I was able to MacGuyver a fix with some superfluous pieces that I withheld from the eight white turrets as they could not be seen anyway [ I guess Lego is just padding the piece count?].

I love this set, there are a few things that I think that could have been better, but overall it's great. Visually, it's stunning, which I think is the most important thing, I always enjoy looking at it and it will be a shame when I dismantle it for parts. If you are a fan of architecture or city models, although not minifig scale, I think it's still worth getting.
