I was disappointed to find out that the container that appeared to be plastic and that I expected to use to store the legos is in fact a cardboard box. The top is plastic but the bottom is cardboard and certainly won't hold up for long. Also, they show that you can make several items from the kit but their instruction book only gives instructions on half of what was shown making construction of the pictured items very frustrating for my child. On a positive note it is still a good value for the quantity of pieces and the variety of colors and unique pieces in the mix. After all it is legos and all that is really needed is a little imagination!
Bought as a extension set for my grandson, great for travel not to big or to small comes in a handy size box. It is a small size set but in my opinion still offers great value. Ideas booklet has a nice range of mini lego builds that is not to over complicated for five/six year olds.
This colorful collection of LEGO bricks will inspire all kinds of open-ended building play. It makes a great addition to a child's LEGO collection or a nice way to start one.
The set is presented in a cardboard box with a plastic lid that looks like a giant 2×2 plate. The cardboard is quite solid and the complete box (box + lid) makes it look like a large 2×2 brick. The box isn't very full of parts, but it is big enough to store all the builds inside comfortably.
These might well be sets that you have to buy for the kids without them requesting them; just buy them for their own good. The box art of other sets seems to be more appealing to kids, but there is way more creativity in these boxes. Plus when you buy one, they might get more interested...
