The Lego Creative (Medium) Creative set comes to in a nice plastic storage box. I knew what was included, so I cannot blame Lego. There are simply not enough basic bricks to build with. I have uploaded several pictures for your review. When all is said and done, you are left with a lot of extra room in your storage box. For us, this was okay, but if your little builder wants to build a house, you may want to check out the Lego Education Basic Brick Set. That set has a lot of building bricks. This set has more specialty pieces, such as wheels. Overall, a great quality product. Lego never disappoints in that regard. This set may disappoint you IF you don't realize exactly what you are getting. I think my pictures will help you there! As you can see, there aren't many basic bricks.

This was a gift for me on Christmas. The set came with almost 500 pieces and it only costs $35. The set increased my collection of regular pieces and had some rare coloured regular bricks. I liked the ideas included with it. For anyone who likes creative building, I recommend it.

For those skilled builders who want to collect 2×4 bricks of different colors I can say there are 12 different bricks of that type, so this set is a good starting point. And those ones who are looking for parts in less common colors, they have a bunch of them, and I think they are very useful to be used with Friends sets.

After initially grumbling about the lack of a glazed window piece or a minifigure-sized moveable door in the box (the only moans they had), the kids proceeded to find clever ways to create the features they wanted. It is a real bonus that this set contains such a range of different ‘special' pieces, because this means there is always an inventive workaround when the exact piece you first had in mind isn't included.
