I bought this lego set for my little girl. She has 3 and half years and it was her first lego Junior experience. The Theme for her is what she Loves the most (Frozen Theme) she was just sad for missing the Olaf. About the building process, i show her from the lego instructions the pieces and she get them from the ground, then i ask her where to put it, she looks at the picture and put them on the right place but sometimes she needed my help to use a bit more strengh so the pieces dont fall off. Overal i think it was a Really Fun set to her and she Loved it since it was her first Junior set coming from Lego Duplo. I really Enjoy to help her with it. Its not yet the easiest set for her because she doesn t has the strong to keep all the pieces in place but more sets will came to her to keep trying. Thanks Lego for this Lego set. I really hoped there were more from Frozen in this age range.
The assembly was too tough for my four-year-old. It was her first experience with real Legos. She does okay with Duplo. For a 6-8 year old this would be great. The minifigures are quite detailed and are fun to play with. The playset design is not totally intuitive but it was quick to build. You can easily improvise and make your own scene, you don't necessarily need to follow the directions, which I like. There are a lot of small pieces in this one. Little jewels, caps and icicles. We keep them in the included treasure box but careless builder may lose them. $20 is an appropriate price for the included pieces. I would not pay $25. I think they should have included Olaf instead of the polar bear. We call the polar bear "Olaf."
Combining construction, and imaginative play, this set offers kids a decent amount of building, and many story starters for imaginative. Kids can use the included Elsa, and Anna mini figures to ski, ice skate, launch snowballs into the air, slide down the ice slide, and more.
