LEGO Minecraft sets are the perfect way to bring the 2D environments and characters from the game to life.
Pros- 1.The playability is great! 2.The figures are great 3.The ore 4.How many pieces you get Cons- 1. NONE this is the The Best Lego Minecraft set!
This is the smallest of the new line of Lego Minecraft mini-figure scale sets---and the least expensive. My 8 y.o. son and I found the set to be more substantial than we anticipated--somehow it adds up to a lot! Max (my son) is a big fan of both Minecraft and Lego--while I am a fan principally of Lego (not a video game savvy dad--it sure does look good and maybe I'll get into it in time) this set satisfies us both tremendously. Highly recommended. Perfect set if you are looking for a starter set or a modest-but-fantatsic gift for someone who is a fan of either Minecrat or Lego.
Because of the way the set is intended to be modular, and fit in with the other sets in the range, it has to be able to come apart easily. This isn't easy, as the stability of the set is sacrificed. I kept knocking over the walls because of this, and got a little frustrated. The lava flow is a great visual, and the torches just look awesome. For such a simple little detail, they really nailed it. The beauty of this set comes in it's playability, especially when combined with the rest of the range. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on them soon.
I did not think I would have much to say about this set but I seemed to have found plenty to go on about. LEGO and Minecraft are an obvious and natural mix, how can it not be? Kids are happy, Parents are happy, AFOLs are happy, Bricklinkers are happy and finance directors are happy. I've got a black pneumatic T piece. Everyone is happy.
