The structure's exterior features a fence and gate area for the pig, plus flowers and a tree. The structure itself opens up to reveal the interior space with a bed, crafting table, oven and tables. The set also comes with two torches and the roof sections can be lifted off for more play options.
It's a great Lego set. But, there is a flaw in this product. Some pieces are too complicated to fit with others. Warning: Don't press down too hard or it will BREAK!! :(
I'll admit it, I have never bought a LEGO house, and for a first one, this set i great! What's in the box: This set includes three (3) bags, Steve, creeper, and pig. The pig is exclusive to the set, as the sheep and cow are to 'The farm'. 'The first night' is a fairly small set, but a lot of it is compact. But, to make up for the lacking scale, the green house-ish roof can be removed and connected to expand the area. The house also spits open in the middle, thanks to two (2) elbow joints. The interior of the house has a table, chest with bread, a bed, crafting table, item frame, torch, and flower pot. The pig pen is a cool addition to the set, and the fence looks great.
Overall it's another delightful set that could be just the catalyst needed to drag kids away from building in the virtual world to building in the real one which I am sure is the intention of LEGO.
This set does its job perfectly, providing an obvious anchor for exploring the other Minecraft sets. Even more, it could be the perfect doorway for some kids back to playing with Lego, making it more obvious that Lego is first and foremost a toy for the imagination. The back of the instruction booklet includes a couple alternate builds to get them started. If you are an adult, you probably already know if this set is interesting to you. It is in the hands of a child that this set will reach is full potential though, acting as a seed for all sorts of imagination play. Honestly, I can't recommend this one enough.
