I am 18 years old and I love Legos! I had my eye on this particular set for about 4 months or so and I finally decided to buy it recently. It took me a total of 3 days to build (a couple hours each day). One of the things that draw me toward a Lego set is the mini figures and the accessories included. This set had me very impressed because there was more accessories involved than I expected! Overall, this is probably one of my favorite sets that I've ever built, right up there with Harry Potter's Diagon Alley.

The Old Fishing Store is definitely among my favorite LEGO sets. It is extremely well designed and detailed. You get a ton of accessories and little animals along with it, as well as hours of build time. While the price tag is high, you get a lot of bricks for that price, and a gorgeous set. The Minifigure count is a little low, but that is offset a bit by all the critters and accessories. I highly recommend the Old Fishing Store.

This is an incredible set. Not only is the concept fantastic, but there are small details hidden all over the place. Every corner has some tiny detail, and it's clear a lot of work went in to designing this set. This is the second Ideas set I've bought (the first being the Yellow Submarine), and I absolutely love everything about it. It was a joy to put together, and it makes a great display piece.

LEGO Ideas sets always fetch a higher level of collectibility for me, as it's my favourite theme. This one in particular I feel is going to be higher up than normal, as it fits quite well in a City theme, as well as a Modular layout, as well as being so darn nice to look at! There are some excellent parts included (have I mentioned all that sand green yet?), and plenty of rare or exclusive parts. If you want something that will be a standout piece in your collection, you need this. It's been one of the most popular sets of last year, and it's only growing in popularity.

The LEGO Ideas Old Fishing Store (21310) is absolutely a beautiful set. LEGO Designer Adam Grabowski faithfully recreates the original design and there are minor changes to it on the exterior and interior which I think improves the overall look. The use of the stickers isn't required as I think the set and its accessories would look fine without them and even Adam said the model wouldn't lose much appeal if they weren't applied.

I thought that the LEGO Ideas theme had probably peaked with the release of the outstanding 21309 NASA Apollo Saturn V set earlier this year, but a mere matter of months later I reckon that LEGO has managed to raise the bar even further. The Old Fishing Store is a superb set – interesting to build, wonderful to look at, and an excellent parts pack to boot, containing a whole heap of sand green tiles, SNOT bricks and rare elements. It's also a pretty faithful realisation of Robert Bontenbal's original LEGO Ideas submission.

As a display piece, the set is great. The overall size of the shop itself is smaller than I had anticipated, but it is loaded with nice details and a great color pallet. While I am extremely tempted to tear the set apart for all the great snot pieces and tiles, I ultimately believe this set is worthy to remain on the shelf alongside the modular buildings.

The amount of detail is stunning for this set. There are interesting things in every nook and cranny of the LEGO Old Fishing Store. It's fairly realistic looking as well, something you can imagine on some old, fishing village somewhere. Even the rugged roof looks realistic, and the moss-green walls give it an old-timey feel.

It took me a lazy weekend of building, but the Old Fishing Store is finished. This was a beautiful build that I can't say enough good things about. I'm only going to leave you with this one picture of the completed model, since the greatest parts of this set are actually building and discovering all the details. For parts alone, this is a great set. There are a half-dozen elements in quantities of 50+ and another 11 with 25+. Over 2000 elements for a very reasonable 7¢ per piece. Considering this is an Ideas set, that's a deal. If it wasn't a $150 set, I'd already have bought a second one for the parts.

In a world full of LEGO Death Stars and giant stompy Ninjago robots, we need the Old Fishing Store. Get yourself a copy when it comes out on September 1st and enjoy a quiet evening of Zen-like building, and then admire its beauty until you're ready to take it apart and design something just as beautiful and inspired yourself.

I think both Robert and Adam did a great job designing and adapting such an unusual structure. The deliberate roughness with the correct colour choices create an orderly chaos which results in probably one of the most realistic looking models ever produced as a set by the LEGO Group.

This is a very well designed and detailed set with an enjoyable building experience that would make a welcome addition to any LEGO modular display. I would admit that the price tag could have been better (for Singapore anyway) but it is still a worth while set to buy.
