Rex's Plantimal Ambush

Rex's Plantimal Ambush is an outstanding little polybag set that, originally, was only available through one of LEGO's promotions. Though it is very small, what you receive is worth every penny put into it. This set comes with three main elements: a “ferocious" Plantimal from the Systarian Jungles, a large blaster gun that would intimidate even the most fierce creatures, and, of course, a Rex Dangervest minifigure with muscles big enough to wield the mighty blaster with ease. The expressions the Rex minifigure has are the same as the ones that come with the Emmet's Dream House/Rescue Rocket set: a confident one and a serious/disgusted one. The Plantimal is an easy build that feature a giant frond and a crab in the design. It also has four orange leaves at its base, which the Plantimal from the Rex's Rex-treme Off-Roader set does not possess. Rex's blaster is unique to this set and features two barrels and a minifigure grip. Overall, a great little set for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part enthusiasts. more less

I love it. These Minifigure polybags are always my favorites to get with purchases. If this set winds up for sale later on, I would rate it a bit lower, at 83%. The value of purchasing it for $4.99 is not that great. But, I still think it is better than buying the blind bag from the Minifigure series. So, free or purchased, I think this is a good one. more less

30460 Rex's Plantimal Ambush is an excellent polybag. It contains one of the most impressive figures from The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part and an interesting model which incorporates some brilliant elements. In fact, I might be tempted to purchase a few of these polybags and assemble a small army of Plantimals as I think they are fun characters. more less

New guy Rex Dangervest fears nothing including the odd looking Plantimals creatures. Rex is similar to his other versions in such sets as Rex's Rex-treme Offroader! and one of the LEGO Movie 2 activity books. In fact the same head as features in Emmet's Dream House, just on a different body. The Plantimal creature is almost the same as the one included 70826, but includes a ring of new orange plant leaf elements. It even has the glittery elements. Rex includes a comically oversized blaster. It's makes the Minifigure a little top heavy but makes Rex look even more manly when holding it. more less
