Hello! I ordered this for my boyfriend for Valentine's Day. The lego set arrived earlier than expected (always a plus). It's in great condition, the box was not damaged in any way. I did have extra pieces which I assume are for those tiny piece that just naturally get lost. The girl's head wasn't the one pictured on the box however. The girl's head that I got has sunglasses. This is a bit disappointing, but I am not upset. I'm guessing it was just a production error because the box was sealed as well as the little lego bags. Overall, I do believe this is great! It's cute, has picture instructions, and is fun!

LEGO Seasonal Sets are usually great value and 40236 Romantic Valentine Picnic is no exception to the rule. It's a fun little set and it won't hurt your wallet too much. It's an awesome standalone set, or it can be easily integrated into your LEGO Town or City.

I really enjoyed the vignettes in 2015, and this set picks up where that series left off. It's a lovely little build, with plentiful details - this couple has thought of just about everything for an idyllic picnic in the park.

What I like about this is that this set can appeal to both the kids and the Adult Fan of LEGO (AFOL). The child gets to build a cool little vignette while the adults and builders can use the parts from this set. There is a wide variety of elements in this build that ranges from the flowers studs to the champaign bottle and glasses to the random pineapple that sits on the picnic blanket. This is minifigure accessory heaven. Another cool little easter egg is that when you try to take a top down view of the vignette, you can see the grassy area (the green plates) form a neatly shaped heart.
