Did the Lego folks have depressing easter egg hunts? Are white and grey just cheaper to produce? I'm astounded. What about the profusion lately of pink and purple lego pieces? Yellow! Red! Green! ...No, let's just stick to white. and grey. and let's throw in a blue one just for kicks. The set is cute, but my mind is boggled that it's advertised as a "Holiday easter egg hunt" and these look like just everyday eggs. (Yes, chickens do lay blue eggs too.)

This little set is a great way to get some interesting pieces at a low cost. It has an excellent value, even at full price, and the Minifigures come with a lot of accessories. The set itself is nothing special, but if you are buying it for the pieces, that doesn't really matter.

This set is very nice and has some very nice accessories. It is slightly overpriced for what what you get, but it has has some some stuff you see everyday in LEGO Sets. the chicken is cool, but as for me I already have some of those. Its a nice set and I Bought it mainly for the accessories and they didn't fail me. Side note to LEGO, how can I send a mini movie to LEGO? I've made a stop motion movie and recently found out that LEGO will sometimes post them with other mini movies. Please let me Know lego, And preferably I'd rather not do it through lego life. Thanks!

Overall, I think the LEGO Seasonal Easter Egg Hunt (40237) is an okay set but not at the level of the Valentine set however it does somewhat represent what an Easter egg hunt could be like. The builds do take away from the set as a whole because they're separate. I do like that the new eggs from the LEGO Angry Birds were included as they have mostly been limited to that theme.

For an adult collector like me who is into displaying sets, Easter Egg Hunt just doesn't hit the right notes for me. I still hold the 2015 Seasonal Easter Set in very high regard and the best Easter set yet. I do think that this set is much better positioned to be enjoyed by younger kids – building all three vignettes does create quite a sense of achievement after each one is done, and the Easter Egg Hunt element is of course very well executed. At least this makes for a very cool parts pack!

Overall, this set does have some play value (in that you can actually hide the eggs and then have the minifigure find them). However, there are only three eggs included...and really, there are only three or four hiding spots (maybe you could turn the wheelbarrow upside down and hide one there). For kids, I don't think this set would have much long-lasting value...and given that it is made up of three little builds, I can imagine that this set wouldn't survive intact for long either. For adults, the main value is simply in the included pieces. There is plenty here to to use in custom creations - and that alone is worth the price.

The finished set is a lot of fun. The build is simple, pretty much nothing but brick stacking, but the result is charming and a great example of the kind of details that bring city builds to life. Each of the three modules has an egg hidden somewhere, adding a bit of play. This is a great little set, with something to offer most any builder. On top of that it makes a lovely parts pack, with a variety of useful and uncommon elements for an excellent price per piece.

I think the set conveys an Easter egg hunt quite well and provides plenty of opportunities to hide the eggs provided in the set. The build itself feels a little underwhelming, I think because of the fragmented nature of the set. I would have liked to see something to tie the set together a bit more, though that would have exceeded the parts count for the established price for seasonals.

The set has a lot going for it in terms of parts as you get a handful of useful elements at such a low price point. Just to put it into perspective, the Disney Castle has 24 pcs of the 1×2 Masonry Brick in Tan so all you would need to do is to buy two sets of the Easter Egg hunt to get the same amount. The design manages to perpetuate the premise of an egg hunt, creating hidden compartments for which to hide the eggs to be found. The only thing that is missing here is the Easter bunny or a rabbit minifigure. I mean, the vignette has carrots accessories to pluck so where is the bunny?

I believe this is the first seasonal LEGO set I actually built, and I'm glad I did. I think any fan of LEGO would really enjoy finding this in their Easter basket this year. It's a great little set, and a good value, too.
