Recommendation: yes 92 / 100 by Tom

Considering that I do not collect this theme, the BrickHeadz Nutcracker (40425) pleasantly surprised me. I love that the jaw moves. It makes the character ultra adorable. Additionally, the set is an excellent value at full price. Even if you do not intent to keep it built, you get a great select of bricks to repurpose.

This is an amazing looking set with a very smart design. The hat looks fantastic and I love the idea behind it. There is only one small complaint. Sometimes the lower jaw will get caught on the upper "lip" when trying to bite. This can be easily fixed by rebuilding the jaw. So over all, no big problem! Very good job lego, keep up the amazing brickheadz!

It's a fun little build as it offers something slightly different to most other BrickHeadz sets. The inner core and the addition of a lever to move the mouth is fun as well. I also like that there is a bit of additional scenery, not only does this add a little more colour, it follows the similar designs of past seasonal BrickHeadz. The need to include a moveable mouth isn't necessary but it's a welcome addition.

For the price, it is hard to beat BrickHeadz as parts packs, and this set is no exception. The 5 plate high sideways facing stud bricks in tan, and red, as well as the modified plates I mentioned above, make the set worth picking up, and for people who collect nutcrackers, I think this set would make a fine addition.

This is an attractive addition to the lineup of Christmas BrickHeadz which brings something new to the format: a simple working mechanism, a feature not found in any others.
