I like this valentine's brown bear set because there was a secret hidden message inside of the stand... You could surprise your special valentines by putting some jewelry in there if you want to make her a little surprise.
This set is a nice build with lots of charm. It's a quick build, but will be great for younger LEGO fans, or that special someone for Valentine's Day.
The Valentine's Bear is a nice little build and a sweet keepsake to give to a loved one on Valentine's Day.
As a cheap little set for someone special it's perfect. If you're a fan of the Valentines (or seasonal) sets you won't be disappointed. And it actually contains a nice selection of parts, so there's definitely reasons to buy this set.
This is a cute little set. It's very reasonably priced at $15 US for 245 pieces. While there aren't any unusual or rare elements here, there's still a great mix at 6 cents per part. The build is genuinely surprising, with a lot of hidden charm. It feels like this would make a good little Valentine's gift for yourself or someone you care about, and will probably last a lot longer than flowers.
Overall, it might not be on a par with the best seasonal sets of yesteryear, but it makes a nice change from BrickHeadz. It looks better 'in the flesh' than on the box, particularly given there's a building mistake in the official photo (the heart it's holding is not built correctly), so don't let that put you off.
All in all, it's still a well-executed model at a low price point. For collectors of Seasonal sets, it might just be the perfect display companion to last year's 40379 Valentine's Bear. And if this is for your loved ones, whether they're into LEGO or not, it would no doubt be well-received as a romantic Valentine's gift with a blocky twist.
This set really works for me. It's just cute. I'm glad that this year, LEGO didn't go for another Brickheadz, as this design captures a bear much better. Don't get me wrong, I do like the 40379 Bear, but the added details of the 40462 makes it stand out some more. The hidden message in the base is a great extra feature, that you can use to personalise your build. And if you're not into the Valentine's Day stuff, leave out the hearts and just have a cute bear. And if you can't even bear the design, the set is also a good parts-pack with a selection of SNOT, curves and slopes.
