This was my first brick head, It will not be my last. The thing looks good, almost like the old eight bit video games of yore. I like it.
This was a much-liked gift this Christmas. I had not seen these in person, so was surprised to see them arrive in such small boxes. But they are cute once put together. My son has a few of them sitting on a shelf on display in his room.
41587 Robin is indeed a nice figure. But when compared to other BrickHeadz, he doesn't hold up as well in the design department. Still, he would make a wonderful addition to one's collection, if given the chance.
These have collectibility written all over them. With what looks to be multiple series planned, a huge range of characters to choose from in the future, and plenty of people being inspired by them to create their own characters, I would recommend getting in quick to snap up a set of the first series. I see big things for these little characters.
Robin takes Brickheadz to the next level and was a really exciting build.
I was a little disappointed when 41587 Robin was revealed in January as I thought his glasses looked rather awkward in official images. In person, however, they are much more impressive and I am quite pleased with this figure on the whole as its bright colour scheme is very distinctive and it looks tremendous on display, particularly beside 41585 Batman.
Puppy dog-eyed Robin plays a key role in The LEGO Batman Movie, and his starstruck expression is captured well here.
An element very limited in supply so far is included with Robin and another BrickHeadz character: Plate 2X2X2/3 W. 2 Horizontal Knobs, in Reddish Brown (6146301 | 99206). This piece in this colour has only ever been seen once before, in LEGO Creator 31052 Vacation Getaway. Previously, due to their limited choice of colours, I tended to work towards covering them up which often defeated the point of them being so flat. Getting this element last year in Brick Yellow and now in Reddish Brown and Dark Red is a gamechanger for inconspicuous tight snotting.
