Customer Video Review Length:: 0:21 Mins Had a blast building this. Estimate I spent about 12-15 hours on the process. Kinda sad it's over, but it looks amazing!Only negative is that the bags are not marked (instructions say they are, but they aren't). Initially this made for some difficulty and frustration, but it was short lived once I got my bearings.

I am relatively new to the Lego family (although my older son has been building sets for years and was a big influence on me to start building)...In my youth (68 yrs. old) I would spend hours upon hours of building, painting, etc. plastic models of all kinds of things...but cars models were my favorite..believing I was still good with my hands, I tackled this very detailed, Technic set...truth be told – (I had built the VW Bug - 1,167) prior to doing this build... What a blast! it definitely brought me back to my youth...the attention to detail is remarkable...steering works, pistons go up and down, etc. it was an approximately a 21 hour build (quarantined and doing it like a puzzle - passing it and doing a small sections at a time)...the build difficulty was on a 4-5 level...I have ordered the light package (through Brick Tool) and can't wait until it comes to put a finishing touch on this build...the down side was the bags were not numbered - but I had purchased a puzzle board, so I could spread the pieces from the bags in piles, etc. I also anticipated doing a lot more big builds... Needless to say, I hooked and already on the "slippery slope" of Legos...no surprise here...I have 3 additional "big" builds on the way...

Recommendation: no 7.2 / 10 by Jim

To be honest; I am torn between two opinions. My first opinion is that this is a stunningly beautiful car. I absolutely love the color scheme and looks on this baby. I can't stop looking at it and it looks so much cooler than the 42056. My second opinion is that the printed panels and stickers look horrible. This may sound confusing, because I just said it looks stunning. Well, it looks stunning from a distance, in a cupboard or something. You can see a lot of flaws from close by.

Lots of bodywork and little technology. That about sums this set up.

If you're looking for an awesome display model and don't mind stickers then I can highly recommend this set. In many ways it's more impressive than the GT3 RS, which looks a bit plain in comparison despite its larger size and complex internals.

The Brothers Brick

Recommendation: meh by Chris

The Porsche 911 RSR's exterior comes close to being on par with the premium Chiron and 911 GT3 RS. The interior is significantly less complex and lacks many of the features of those sets, but it's also priced to reflect this difference, coming in at half the price of those models. The working features all function well, and while there's nothing innovative, there's also little to complain about in these tried-and-true designs aside from a bit of steering slop. Certain parts of the design, however, fall well below expectations, such as the windshield wiper and driver's compartment. The passenger compartment is frankly hideous and is a distinct black mark on the design. The lack of numbered bags simply isn't acceptable in a new set of this size in 2018. And while it's minor, there's also a mistake in the instructions which adds to the overall rushed feeling of this set (page 174, for those curious).

Recommendation: meh by Dimitri

This is definitely not a set for first time Technic builders, a set this size could easily feel daunting due to the piece count, sizeable manual and building techniques. If you are a Technic fan and enjoy fairly complex builds, that lead to an incredible looking final model, then this is a highly recommended set.
