This Stormer is massive, towering above all the other heroes. Since he's the leader, this huge new body gives him a sort of "Optimus Prime-ish" presence, in my opinion. His sword is a nifty design, with two swords just like Breeze's, but on a plate facing away from each other to make a larger blade. Like all of the other heroes, Stormer XL comes with a blaster and hero cuffs, and his special accessories are the "Recon Drones", which are those silver pieces on his arms in the picture. Because he's so large, he has the new friction pieces in his joints to hold his poses much better, like the DC and Marvel Heroes figures. He's got a great amount of pieces, too. Grab this guy while you can.
Preston is kind of a mixed bag. I think he's a great "XL" update of the Hero style build, and I wouldn't mind seeing a "Bill XL" someday, no matter how much everyone seems to tire of Furno. But he seems pricey for the build, and while some of the new parts are glorious, there are very few of them here. I think he's dynamic, but at the same time, he can look a little dull in a lot of poses.
Stormer XL marks a huge step forward in the design of the titan sets. While his arms do look kinda short, he's overall a fantastic set, and if you want a large hero to face off against the most evil villains your imagination can create, he's the right hero for the job. As long as you don't prefer lime and purple (read: Speeda Demon) over white and blue, Stormer XL is worth the money.
