Kai's Fire Mech

A solid design. The missile launcher is a bit half-hearted, and the legs have a somewhat limited posability, but other than that, this is a very solid design. Not nearly as skeletal as previous comparable mechs. more less

All things considered, Kai's Mech is an excellent little set, with an eye-catching color scheme and an appealing couple of figures. Given that it's a Mech, a lot of poseability is expected, and the final build doesn't disappoint! The building experience is about what one would expect, and the Mech's ability to attach to Cole's driller is the icing on the cake. The Ninjago nut in me would probably have told me to get it anyways, but even just as a LEGO fan, it's a great little set! more less

This was a cute, fun little set. I bought one for each of my kids.The swords and mini-figures were the best part of the set and got repurposed into other things when they were done playing with this set.I bought this back when it was just a little over ten bucks, which is a pretty good price for a set this size.The best rule of thumb for Lego sets is ten to fifteen cents per piece is a good price for a set that doesn't have a lot of specially Minifigures or other large pieces like dinosaurs or something similar. more less

Quite a neat little set, don't you think? I feel the minifigures are pretty good – though the Stone Scout is a bit “meh". The build is cute, and the price is pretty darn good too. more less

The mech uses techniques similar to the Hero Factory line for poseability. In the TV show, the Fire Mech is able to transform into a suitcase and transported in Cole's Power Drill but it does not do that in this set. more less

I like the Fire Mech – it's better than I thought it would be given the lowly piece count. The designers have given us a nicely designed, readily poseable little Mech, and the inclusion of two minifigures, one of which features a new printed torso and legs, makes this set decent value at £7.99 / $9.99. more less

This is a great set. I don't know if I can say that enough. It captures the essence of Ninjago very well, but also has the best part of mech building and ball joint humanoid figures, which is something I'm sure Bionicle and Hero Factory fans appreciate. And if you do get tired of the set itself, the pieces that make it are also good. And it's cheap enough that most people can pick it up impulsively and not be disappointed. more less
