I bought 2 of these back when the price was a reasonable thirty bucks. For that price it is an excellent set. Both my kids loved this and one of them liked it enough that it went up on his keeper shelf instead of in the community Lego bin.A good rule of thumb is approximately 10 to 15 cents per Lego piece is a good deal for a Lego set. Unless it has a Lot a really specialty pieces like animals, dinosaurs, etc. Then you'll look to pay a little bit more than that.
I really like the set and it kind of makes me regret not purchasing other Ninjago sets in the past. Obviously, the Golden Ninja minifigure will be one of the hottest minifigures this year since there won't be any more Ninjago sets in 2013 and he's only in one other set. The Stone minifigures are a nice addition. The main attraction is the Golden Dragon itself. It's very nicely detailed and very articulated. I would totally recommend picking up this set. The price point is also spot on for what you get.
Although I can't unreservedly recommend this set, it's certainly not bad, and given all the large parts it contains plus the interesting Golden Ninja and Warrior minifigures in particular it's not terribly priced at £24.99/$29.99. The set should certainly please those who are already fans of the Ninjago theme, but I'm not sure it'd win over the undecided.
