Overall I think this a great BIONICLE set. I really like the color scheme, especially the translucent light blue CCBS bone pieces. Some pros of this set are the color scheme, the use of CCBS, the great masks that were included, and the geared action feature. Some cons that I have with this set are the stickers on his leg, the new mask attachment system, the size of the shield, and the lack of friction in the gear system compared to the other toa of 2015. I don't know if it is just my set but, if I pick Kopaka up and shake him around as if I am playing with him, his arm will tend to swing around. I tried fixing this numerous times by trying to tighten the gears, but the arm still swings around I have also shook my other toa around and not one of them had the same problem as Kopaka. I don't know if this problem is due to were the "extra friction gear" is located, or if I just have a lose blue ax-ell pin that is connected to the gear. I hope if you get this figure, you do not have that same problem that I have. This concludes my review of Kopaka - Master of Ice.

The figure was missing the stickers that go on the costume so the figure looks really unfinished. The boy who I gave this to was unhappy after all the work he did to assemble....but once the missing items arrived, he was thrilled. The item said it was new...and the seller found the missing items and sent them out quickly

The Kopaka figure is fully articulated and has an Elemental Ice Spear and Frost Shield. It also has a wheel-operated bashing battle arm function, that swings the arm up and down by turning the wheel on the figure's back. Kopaka's shield can be converted into skis, and the figure comes with two masks, a white and gold one. Plus there's an enemy Skull Spider that can also be used as a third mask.

Overall, I think the new Kopaka is an absolutely stellar set design. Not only is he brimming with personality, but he also has a great assortment of parts for building your own BIONICLE creations. I think he's well worth his price, and a great first buy for fans that are new to the constraction category or the CCBS.

Kopaka is a fun set. He's got a lot of features and playability. He brings back some nostalgia, and with such a fantastic redesign of the classic 2001 Akaku, and the dual functionality of his tools. For many, the price tag is a tough obstacle to get around, and the look of the set using CCBS is a jarring difference from what we had in the old days. But this is the new generation, not everything can be the same. My main complaint is the weapons. To me, the skis are cool but as a shield they are very unconvincing, and the staff is cool as a ski pole but a very boring weapon. The color scheme is certainly busy and I wish there were some changes in the overall displacement of the colors, and I find the stickers rather odd.

Retailing for $20 in the US, Kopaka might seem rather expensive. But in reality, you get an impressive hero with a lot of play features and a bad guy for him to fight with. And of course, it's Bionicle, so if you were a fan of the original sets this should give you a blast of nostalgia. But unlike the Stars from the last Bionicle wave, this set is awesome and really delivers on a fun play experience. So even if you weren't a Bionicle fan the first time around you'll still really enjoy this set!

I wasn't sure how I'd like Kopaka, but he's easily in my top three Toa sets this year. Kinda wished they would add more parts from Protector of Ice to pad him up… then again, he's bulked up enough as it is.

All the large Toa have easily proven their value with their size and their builds, and Kopaka is no exception. He makes a few odd design choices (bulky legs, overly adjustable shoulder parts), but ultimately is a very fun set to both play and pose with, which is fitting for his size classification. Plus, despite the size difference, he's definitely the Kopaka we all know and love, and it's good to see the designers respect that while also carving out a very new style.
